Cleaning Methods

Car Seats

Our primary objective is to ensure the effective and safe cleaning of car seats while adhering strictly to manufacturer guidelines. This policy outlines the principles and practices we follow to maintain the integrity and safety of car seats.

Manufacturer Guidelines:

  • We strictly adhere to the cleaning and maintenance guidelines provided by the car seat manufacturer.

  • This includes recommendations for disassembly, cleaning methods, and any specific instructions related to the components of the car seat.

Disassembly:

  • When cleaning car seats, we follow the manufacturer's recommendations regarding disassembly.

  • Proper disassembly allows for thorough cleaning without compromising the structural or functional aspects of the car seat.

Machine Washing:

  • If the manufacturer approves machine washing, we follow their specified instructions regarding machine type, water temperature, and any other relevant details.

  • We ensure that machine washing does not affect the integrity or safety features of the car seat.

Approved Detergents/Cleaners:

  • Only manufacturer-approved detergents or cleaners are used during the cleaning process.

  • Any specific recommendations for cleaning agents provided by the manufacturer are strictly followed to prevent damage to the materials and ensure safety.

Treatment of Plastics and Harnesses:

  • The cleaning process takes into consideration the type of plastics used in the car seat.

  • Harnesses are treated with care, following manufacturer guidelines, to preserve their strength and effectiveness.

Stains:

  • Most of our customers are highly satisfied with the sparkling gear we return. We cannot guarantee all stains can be removed (especially car seats where our safe treatment options are limited due to manufacturer cleaning recommendations) or if treatment may damage the gear.

When Mold is Present or Car Seat is Expired:

  • Car seats showing signs of mold growth are not cleaned, as mold infestations can compromise the safety and hygiene of the seat.
  • Moldy or expired car seats are deemed unsafe for use, and we prioritize the safety of our clients by not attempting to treat or clean such cases.

Manufacturer Clarification:

  • In cases where there is ambiguity or additional clarification is needed regarding the cleaning process, we contact the manufacturer directly.

  • Records of all correspondence with the manufacturer are maintained, ensuring transparency and accountability in our cleaning procedures.

Installation:

  • While we do not reinstall child car seats, our certified Child Passenger Safety Technician can guide you through safe installation practices and ensure you leave with a safely installed seat.

Strollers & Other Gear

Our primary objective is to maintain the cleanliness and safety of strollers and other gear through meticulous cleaning practices. This policy outlines our commitment to using non-harsh cleaning methods while adhering to manufacturer guidelines.

Manufacturer Guidelines:

  • We strictly adhere to the cleaning and maintenance guidelines provided by the stroller and gear manufacturers.

  • This includes recommendations for disassembly, cleaning methods, and any specific instructions related to the components of the stroller or gear.

Disassembly:

  • Strollers and gear are cleaned with careful consideration of the manufacturer's recommendations regarding disassembly.

  • Proper disassembly ensures thorough cleaning without compromising the structural or functional aspects of the equipment.

Non-Harsh Cleaning Methods:

  • We prioritize the use of non-harsh cleaning methods to protect the integrity of materials and finishes.

  • Harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents that may compromise the quality of the stroller or gear are strictly avoided even if this means a stain or odor may not be fully removed.

Gentle Cleaning Products:

  • Only cleaning products approved by the manufacturers, known for their gentle and non-abrasive nature, are utilized.

  • Our commitment to non-harsh cleaning extends to the careful selection of detergents or cleaners that effectively clean without causing damage.

Treatment of Materials:

  • The cleaning process takes into account the varied materials used in strollers and gear.

  • We follow manufacturer guidelines to ensure the appropriate treatment of fabrics, metals, plastics, and other components.

Stains:

  • Most of our customers are highly satisfied with the sparkling gear we return. We cannot guarantee all stains can be removed (especially car seats where our safe treatment options are limited due to manufacturer cleaning recommendations) or if treatment may damage the gear.

Record of Manufacturer Correspondence:

  • In cases where clarification is needed regarding cleaning methods, we proactively contact the manufacturer directly.

  • All communication with manufacturers is documented and kept as a record to ensure compliance with their specific recommendations.
